Recovering from an eating disorder is a long-term process, not a quick fix. Anorexia, bulimia and compulsive overeating are complicated and dangerous disorders that can have a high rate of relapse.

Treatment Solutions

There is no overnight solution for eating recovery, but with a little time, it is very much possible.  Eating disorders such as bulimia, anorexia, and compulsive overeating are complex and multi-layered diseases.  The possibility of relapse is high.  Due to these reasons, it is vital to have a treatment program designed for your particular situation.

Treatment involves addressing the root cause of the patient’s eating disorder.  It is through providing for medical and nutritional needs and a change to a healthy relationship with food.  It also looks at the psychological reasons why the eating disorder started and teaches productive ways to manage with those life challenges.  The multi-faceted treatment through nutritional counseling, therapy, and the support of a group may oftentimes be the most effective.  There could be some instances where residential treatment or hospitalization could be required.  In all cases, the treatment must effectively address the psychological, spiritual, and physical components of the disease.

Each patient is unique and has different needs.  For those reasons, there are many eating disorder treatment choices.  The “right” one depends on the respective individual’s symptoms, strengths, and problems, as well as the magnitude of the disorder.  There is no single treatment option that fits every individual.  Our dedicated staff is ready to answer any questions regarding treatment services and living arrangements.

Here are some of the treatment options that we offer:

•    One to One Therapy
•    Inpatient Treatment
•    Outpatient Treatment
•    Group Therapy and Support Meetings
•    Alternative and Holistic Healing

It is dangerous to leave an eating disorder undiagnosed and untreated. It becomes harder to overcome and the effects to your mind and body become much worse the longer it remains.  If you or someone you love is at risk, please seek professional help immediately.
