Suffering from an eating disorder does not mean a life sentence. You are not alone and there is hope in overcoming it.
Women who come to The Victorian for treatment
of their anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating all need treatment
in order to cure themselves of their eating disorder. They may have been judged by others and hurt
by those they love while at the same time also causing pain to others. Eating disorders engender such feelings as
confusion, shame, and low self-esteem.
By going to The Victorian for treatment, women enter a caring and
intimate environment that will help put an end to their eating disorder, help
them look within themselves and learn what underlies their behavior and how
they can change it in a positive way.
The female staff at The Victorian is trained and experienced experts that
will guide women to their healing destination and help to treat the entire
person and not just their eating disorder.
They start by performing an initial evaluation that explores the entire
life of the woman, from her family to her social experiences to her culture.
The location of the intimate and beautiful Victorian House in the gorgeous
city of Newport Beach
and the facilities and rooms within it provide the greatest comfort and at-home feeling anywhere. Program Director Michele Lob and her team has
worked diligently to create a setting perfectly conducive to clinical help and
treatment while at the same time feeling that they are on vacation surrounded
by others who are going through what they are going through and overcoming it.
