ADP - The California Department of Alcohol & Drug Programs

The Victorian of Newport Beach, CA is one of only a few eating disorder treatment centers throughout the entire globe that treat both eating disorders and other addictions as co-occurring disorders.  It is a part of the Sober Living by the Sea treatment center network in Newport Beach and provides more than 23 years of expertise in treating drug addiction and alcoholism, as well as eating disorders such as bulimia, anorexia, compulsive overeating, and binge eating.

Sober Living by the Sea is proud to be a member of the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, or ADP or short.  ADP provides help and recovery for those with drug and alcohol problems or issues with gambling.  It also promotes prevention.  ADP is the official Single State Agency (SSA) that is looked upon to administer and coordinate CA’s initiatives in preventing drug and alcohol abuse, treating it, and helping those who suffer from it to recover.  ADP is also the primary CA agency that coordinates with other agencies regarding these services.

ADP presides as the leader and coordinator for the development, implementation, evaluation, and planning of statewide drug use and alcoholism intervention, prevention, treatment, detoxification and recovery system.  It utilizes all of the 58 county drug and alcohol programs as agents of service.  Each county is then able to provide services to those that need it by themselves or by contracting with local providers.
